Welcome and thank you for visiting our site!  We are the Cabatu family and are located in Santa Paula, CA. We are learning ways to become more aware of the impact we have on the planet and the trash we produce. Our mindset on single-plastic use shifted once we became pregant with our firstborn in 2019.

 

Along with the obstacles of becoming a new mom during a pandemic, I was also worried about what clothes and products I was exposing my newborn to. I tried my best to buy organic, vegan, toxic-free, red dye free and so on. But, I was mostly maddened and confused as to why other harsh and toxic products were out there and hidden behind false labeling. My husband and I slowly began to change our diet and daily habits, especially ones that we knew could and would affect our son's longterm health and wellbeing. This included habits around single-plastic use. The more we learned about the impacts of plastic on our bodies and our planet, we really tried to make small and attainable changes around our lifestyles. Slow consistent changes made it less overwhelming for us.

We started to visit refilleries and local businesses that aligned with our morals and changed mindsets. This is where the idea of opening our own refill and sustainable business started. We are both full time working parents to two boys who are trying to do better for ourselves, our family and our world as a whole. The climate crisis is real and it is up to us, not others, to start making changes.  We are not perfect and that is why we are here doing this. To hold ourselves accountable while also showing our community that we are all worthy of having access to more sustainable, toxic free products.
